Two judicial instances supported the position of environmentalists and ordered the violator to pay 2 million 39 thousand rubles for damage caused to the soil due to unauthorized storage of garbage.

Earlier, inspectors of the South-Eastern Directorate revealed a violation of environmental legislation. In Almetyevsk, on R. Fakhretdin Street, environmentalists discovered unauthorized waste storage.

The total area of the landfill was 4,410 sq.m.

It turned out that the land plot is privately owned by an individual.

The inspectors calculated the damage caused to the soil due to unauthorized waste storage. The damage amounted to 2 million 39 thousand rubles.

Environmentalists have sent a warning and a complaint to the owner of the land. The violator refused to voluntarily compensate for the damage and eliminate the landfill.

The inspectors sent a statement of claim to the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan. The court supported the environmentalists' position. However, the violator did not agree with the decision and filed an appeal. The case was considered by the Sixth Court of Cassation of General Jurisdiction in Samara. The court also supported the Ministry's position and dismissed the violator's complaint.
