Today, within the framework of the XX All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference named after A. I. Shchepovskikh hosted the plenary session "Strategy of ecological balance: current achievements and promising tasks of the environmental sphere."
The meeting was moderated by the Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov. He said that thanks to the new national project "Environmental well-being" in Tatarstan, the second stage of work on clearing Melekeski has started and the Noksa ecological rehabilitation is planned.
"Since 2025, work has begun on clearing the second section of the Melekeski River in Naberezhnye Chelny with a length of 3.1 km. A full–scale ecorehabilitation of another landmark river for Kazan, the Noksa, with a length of about 28 km, is also planned," the minister noted.
In addition, the third stage of the pilot project of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Tatarstan branch of the Russian Geographical Society "Free current", which is aimed at the ecological rehabilitation of the Kazanka River, continues in the Republic of Tatarstan. It is being implemented with the support of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov.
Alexander Shadrikov also highlighted the high activity of residents who annually take part in the Water of Russia campaign. The Republic of Tatarstan has been holding a leading position among the regions in cleaning the banks of rivers and lakes for the fourth year.
