3,587 vehicles were tested in Tatarstan as part of Operation Clean Air in support of the national Environmental Well-being project
Since June 1, the Republic of Tatarstan has been hosting the Clean Air operational and preventive event in support of the national Environmental Well-being project. The operation is being implemented by the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan and the interregional territorial Directorate of Rostransnadzor for the Volga Federal District.
Gasoline, diesel, and gas-powered vehicles are being tested.
In three months, experts have checked 3,587 vehicles. These are 3,218 passenger cars, 170 trucks and 199 buses.
The results of the inspections demonstrate the high responsibility of Tatarstan drivers - only 68 vehicles (1.9% of the total number of checked) were found to exceed the permissible standards. There are 59 passenger cars, 6 trucks and 3 buses among them.
Employees of the Ministry conduct an explanatory conversation with owners of vehicles that do not comply with environmental regulations about the importance of complying with the requirements of legislation in the field of atmospheric air protection and draw up protocols on administrative offenses.
Inspections on the republic's highways will continue until September 30, 2025.
