The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents about the discharge of wastewater onto the soil and into the Alexandrovka River. Inspectors from the Priiksky department promptly went to the Alexandrovskoye rural settlement of the Bavli district.
As part of a survey of the territory, the violation was confirmed. It was found that wastewater is discharged from a pipe owned by the Alexandrovsky Biotechnological Plant.
Environmentalists took samples of water and soil. According to the research results, exceedances of the maximum permissible concentrations in both water and soil were revealed.
The inspectors calculated the damage caused to the environment for a total of 900 thousand rubles.
The Alexandrovsky Biotechnological Plant paid the damage in full. As of today, wastewater discharge has been stopped.
