In continuation of the large-scale work on the revision of water intakes in Tatarstan, with the support and on behalf of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, another significant project is being implemented - the search for new sources of drinking water supply for the regions of the republic.
Every year, within the framework of the Republican Program "Environmental Protection, reproduction and use of natural resources of the Republic of Tatarstan", exploratory work is carried out at the expense of republican funding to provide the population with high—quality drinking water - the basis of the health and well-being of residents.
An important stage in the development of the project was the acquisition in 2022 of a modern complex of drilling equipment with the support of Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov. GBU NPO Geocenter RT received an URB drilling rig based on KAMAZ, which significantly expanded the technical capabilities of specialists.
This year, specialists of GBU NPO Geocenter of the Republic of Tatarstan carried out drilling operations near the settlements of Lyubimovka and Zelenovka in the Tetyushsky district using this modern equipment. These works are of strategic importance, as they will improve the quality of life of more than 11 thousand residents of the city of Tetyushy.
Based on the results of the work carried out, the depth of the aquifers will be determined and the groundwater reserves will be assessed, which will make it possible to plan further development of the region's water supply system.
At the same time, specialists of GBU NPO Geocenter RT are conducting electrical exploration in this territory using modern geophysical equipment SKALA 48K12, which increases the accuracy of research and the efficiency of searching for promising water supply sources.
This project is a logical continuation of the unprecedented work on the revision of existing water intakes, during which 4,033 wells were examined in 43 municipal districts of the republic. Tatarstan became the first region of Russia to conduct such a comprehensive assessment of the state of drinking water supply sources.
Such an integrated approach to environmental problems, implemented in Tatarstan, is fully consistent with the goals of the national project "Environmental well-being".
