In the village of Derzhavino, Laishevsky district, active work is underway to clean up the lower pond within the framework of the state program "Reproduction and Use of Natural resources". This facility is part of a large-scale program to restore the Republic's water resources, which is under the personal control of Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov, the Head of Tatarstan. On his initiative, best practices of nature protection are being introduced and an integrated approach to solving environmental problems is being developed. "Environmental protection directly affects the quality of life of the population. Thanks to national projects, we have the opportunity to solve environmental problems. The environmental direction is very important for any region, including ours," the Head of Tatarstan has repeatedly emphasized.
Today, Ilnur Nasretdinov, Deputy Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mars Valiev, Director of NPO Geocenter, and Artem Artemyev, Head of the Department of Water Resources for the Republic of Tatarstan of the Nizhny Volga Water Department of the Federal Agency for Water Resources, got acquainted with the progress of work on cleaning the Nizhny pond in the village of Derzhavino.
The cleaning of the lower pond started in 2023 and work on the facility is expected to be completed this year. There are currently 10 pieces of equipment working here, and the facility is 85% ready.
It should be noted that environmental work is carried out systematically in the village of Derzhavino. Earlier, the upper pond was already cleaned here as part of the federal project "Conservation of Unique Water bodies" of the Ecology national project. At that time, more than 180,000 cubic meters of sediments were extracted and more than two hectares of shrubs were uprooted. Federal funding for the first stage of the work amounted to more than 38 million rubles. Now, thanks to the state program "Reproduction and use of natural resources", work is underway on the lower pond.
It should be recalled that the measures taken to preserve unique water bodies not only contribute to the restoration of natural qualities, the functions of natural self-purification and self-healing, and the improvement of environmental and hydrological characteristics, but also eliminate the threat of degradation of reservoirs in general.
Such an integrated approach to environmental problems, implemented in Tatarstan, is fully consistent with the goals of the national project "Environmental well-being".
