The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan calls for responsible completion of environmental reporting
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan has received 2,685 reports on the organization and results of industrial environmental control (PEC) in 2024. This is 10% more than in 2023, which indicates the growing involvement of enterprises in environmental control.
However, a check of the documentation revealed significant violations. The main problems include the inconsistency of the data presented with the actual condition of objects that have a negative impact on the environment, as well as incompleteness and insufficient detail of information.
The identification of such violations is the basis for including a nature user in the category of entities that have violated mandatory requirements, according to approved risk indicators. In accordance with the current legislation, this entails the implementation of control (supervisory) measures by the Ministry.
5 letters have already been sent to the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Tatarstan regarding the facts of gross inconsistencies in the reports.
The Ministry reminds that the accuracy, completeness and reliability of the data provided is the direct responsibility of the nature user in accordance with the environmental legislation of the Russian Federation. Incorrect reporting will inevitably lead to the application of administrative measures.
