Young environmentalists of Tatarstan gathered at the "Keepers of Forest Trails" camp

5 August 2025, Tuesday

An unusual shift has started in Tatarstan for schoolchildren who are passionate about nature and ecology. From August 4 to August 10, 2025, on the territory of the Baytik complex in the village of Krutushka, a tent camp "Keepers of Forest Trails" is being held, organized by the youth movement "It will be Clean" with the support of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan.

46 children aged 9 to 17 from Tatarstan and other regions of Russia took part in the shift. During the week, students not only relax in nature, but also gain new knowledge about ecology, study the biodiversity of their native land and master environmental skills, which contributes to achieving the goals of the national project "Environmental well-being".

The camp program is full of various environmental activities: river rafting, environmental quests, interactive outdoor activities and practical workshops on interacting with the environment.

The young ecologists were greeted by Ilnur Nasretdinov, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with Damir Valiullin, Head of the Department of Information Systems and Environmental Education.

"It's great to see so many young people who are passionate about ecology. It is you guys who will determine the ecological future of our republic and the country. Environmental education today is about taking care of a clean and healthy planet tomorrow. The Ministry will always support your initiatives and projects aimed at protecting nature," Ilnur Munirovich addressed the shift participants.

During the meeting, Ilnur Nasretdinov spoke in detail about the work of the Ministry of Ecology.   The most active participants in the discussion were awarded commemorative prizes with the symbols of the Ministry of Ecology for the most interesting questions.

In the coming days, shift participants will have excursions to the Volga-Kama Nature Reserve and the Blue Lakes, creative contests, sports games and a lot of new knowledge about the nature of their native land.
