In two months, 2,667 vehicles were checked in Tatarstan as part of Operation Clean Air

In the Republic of Tatarstan, together with the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, Operation Clean Air continues to detect excess pollutants in the exhaust gases of vehicles.

Since June 1, 2667 vehicles have been checked by environmentalists:

2331 passenger cars

142 trucks

194 buses

The excess was detected in 52 vehicles (43 cars, 6 trucks, 3 buses), which is 1.9% of the total number of vehicles checked.

Inspections are taking place in 23 districts of Tatarstan. For example, inspectors from the Kama Department at the Tula-1 checkpoint in Naberezhnye Chelny have inspected 400 vehicles since June 1, 9 of them have excess carbon monoxide in their exhaust gases.

Employees of the Ministry carry out explanatory work with owners of vehicles found to be exceeding their limits on the inadmissibility of violations of mandatory requirements of legislation in the field of atmospheric air protection and draw up protocols on administrative offenses.

Operation Clean Air is being conducted in support of the national Environmental Well-being project. The checks will last until September 30th.
