Today, Alexander Shadrikov, Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, met with a participant in the "Batyrlar. Heroes of Tatarstan" by Igor Egorov. The minister, who was appointed as a mentor within the framework of the republican veterans support program, held his first meeting with Igor Yakovlevich, who recently returned from the front line.
The meeting turned out to be really warm, because the interlocutors are united not only by their love for their native republic, but also by a common professional direction. From 2001 to 2004, Igor Egorov worked as the chief specialist of the South-Eastern Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan, and later worked in the Department for the Protection and Use of Wildlife of the Republic of Tatarstan.
During the conversation, Alexander Shadrikov and a veteran of the Northern Military District discussed topical issues of nature protection and the rational use of Tatarstan's natural resources. The Minister shared information about the department's current projects with Igor Egorov:
"Our ministry today is not just a regulatory body. We launch scientific projects, work with young people, and involve the public in solving environmental problems. And most importantly, we are implementing large-scale activities under the national Environmental Well-being project. It is important for us that the natural resources of the republic are preserved and multiplied," said Alexander Shadrikov.
In turn, Igor Egorov shared his plans for the future. Now he has returned to service in the Southeastern Department of the Ministry of Ecology as a senior specialist and has become a participant in the Batyrlar. Heroes of Tatarstan program.
"When I found out that I could take part in the Batyrlar program, I decided right away that this was my chance to be even more useful for the republic. I have been selected from almost 1,600 applicants, and now I am very happy about this opportunity. I believe that each of us should do everything in his power for his Homeland — someone protects it on the front line, and someone works here in his native places for the benefit of people and nature," Igor Egorov shared.
Alexander Shadrikov noted the special importance of the mentoring program, which is being implemented on behalf of Rustam Minnikhanov and provides a unique opportunity not only to help veterans, but also to attract people with strong character and firm principles to the management of the republic.
Let us recall, that "Batyrlar. Heroes of Tatarstan" is a special project for the formation of Tatarstan's personnel reserve from among veterans and participants of its military. Fighters with relevant competencies will have the opportunity to pursue career growth in state or municipal institutions, as well as in other fields.
Applications for participation in the program were submitted by about 1,600 Tatarstan citizens from among SMO participants. According to the results of the selection, 45 people were enrolled for training. The selection consisted of three stages: filling out an online questionnaire and writing an essay, testing and face-to-face interview. A prerequisite for the project is the presence of a mentor who will share his experience and knowledge and guide the program participant.
