29 July 2025, Tuesday

In June, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from a resident about soil pollution in the village of Novosheshminsk.

Inspectors from the Volga-Kama Directorate promptly went to the site and conducted a survey of the territory. The violation was confirmed: environmentalists found a site contaminated with petroleum products.

Soil samples were taken by specialists from the Environmental Supervision Department. According to the analysis results, exceedances of the maximum permissible concentrations of petroleum products were detected.

The Executive Committee of the Novosheshminsky district was issued a warning about the inadmissibility of violating the mandatory requirements of environmental legislation.

The Executive Committee carried out land reclamation, now the territory is in proper ecological condition.

Ecologists also re-sampled the soil. According to the analysis results, no excess was detected.
