A large-scale operation "Clean Air" is continuing in the Republic of Tatarstan, aimed at reducing the level of atmospheric air pollution by cars. The control measures covered 23 districts of Tatarstan.
Since September 1, environmentalists, together with employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, have checked 2,392 vehicles:
- 2,069 passenger cars
- 131 trucks
- 192 buses
46 vehicles (1.9% of the total number of checked vehicles) were found to exceed the established emission standards, of which:
- 38 passenger cars
- 5 trucks
- 3 buses
Explanatory work is carried out with car owners who have been found to be exceeding such violations, and protocols on administrative offenses are drawn up in accordance with the law. Violators face a fine of 500 rubles or a warning.
It should be recalled that inspections on the republic's highways will continue until September 30 in support of the national project "Environmental well-being".
