The landfill in the village of Kartapa was eliminated at the expense of "green money"
During the monitoring of the Kamsko-Ustinsky district, inspectors from the Ministry of Ecology discovered unauthorized storage of household waste on the outskirts of the village of Kartapa. The area of the contaminated site was 900 sq.m., the volume was 800 cubic meters. As it turned out, earlier, before the organization of the centralized collection and removal of MSW, local residents took out and stored their garbage here.
The department's specialists have drawn up a survey report on the territory. The Executive Committee of the Kamsko-Ustinsky district decided to include this landfill in the list of environmental protection measures that are implemented through environmental payments received by the district budget. At the moment, the work on the elimination of the place of unauthorized waste storage has been completed.
It should be noted that the attraction of environmental revenues opens up opportunities for the implementation of various projects to protect the environment and improve environmental well-being. Thanks to these finances, it is possible not only to restore and protect natural territories, but also to create conditions for the formation of a more responsible attitude towards nature among citizens.
