A round-table meeting regarding realization of social and economic tasks took place in Almetyevsk

           The round-table meeting regarding realization of social and economic tasks outlined in the Annual Letter of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan to the State Council of the Republic for 2014 took place in the Executive Committee of the Almetyevsk municipal area.
          Albert Malikov, the Chief of the Southeast Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, made a report on realization of primary objectives of the Year of environmental protection and culture in Almetyevsk. 599 inspections were carried out and 242 enterprises were inspected by representatives of the Southeast Territorial Administration for 10 months in 2013. The work of the Tatneft company was mentioned in the report. In compliance with its ecological policy Tatneft is the first enterprise in Russia that provided 95% utilization of associated gas.
            For the purpose of air pollution reduction Transneft OJSC together with SZMN OJSC have already dismantled three ZhBR-10000 tanks at Kaleykino oil pump station this year. 2 VSTP tanks with a domed roof and a pontoon made of aluminum alloy is being reconstructed now. This pontoon will make it possible to reduce hydrocarbon emissions to 80% and to provide safety operation.
            For the purpose of on-line air pollution control the Ministry of Ecology launched two stations of automated air control. Besides, in order to inspect territories that aren’t covered by these stations, the Ministry also launched a mobile station of air pollution control that can function permanently and take measurements on the run. The mobile station takes measurements of harmful impurities concentration: nitrogen oxides, ammonia, carbon oxide, sulfur dioxide, hydrogen sulfides, hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, xylols, styroles)
In the course of the “Clean Air” campaign inspectors of the Southeast Territorial Administration together with inspectors of STSI of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan checked 952 cars. 207 violations were revealed, 207 protocols were drawn up in the names of individuals, 14 protocols were drawn up in the names of officials of automobile operating companies.
         From January 1 till October 30, 2013 the Southeast Territorial Administration revealed 98 sites of unauthorized waste disposal. These sites were brought onto the Ecological map of the republic. 95 sites, which make 96% of the total, were liquidated. 3 sites of unauthorized waste disposal are being controlled.
           18 violations of nature protection legislation in the sphere of subsurface use have been revealed in Almetyevsk area this year. The work on identification of violators and their bringing to responsibility is carried out together with police officers.
            Much attention is paid to efforts of educational institutions to form environmental outlook and ecological culture as well as to implement skills of practical nature protection work in Almetyevsk.
