A garbage dump near a cemetery in Chistopol has been identified and eliminated
As part of a survey of the territory of the Chistopol district, specialists from the Volga-Kama Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan discovered unauthorized waste storage near an Orthodox cemetery in the vicinity of Chistopol. According to the inspection results, the landfill consisted of waste of hazard class 5 — waste from cleaning cemeteries and columbariums. The area of pollution was 140 square meters, the volume of waste was 119 cubic meters.
Following the inspection by the inspectors of the Volga-Kama Department of the Ministry of Ecology, a warning was sent to the Chistopol town Executive Committee of the Chistopol Municipal District about the inadmissibility of violating environmental legislation with the requirement to immediately eliminate the identified violation.
Currently, the landfill has been completely eliminated. The territory has been brought into proper condition in accordance with environmental requirements.
