Specialists from the Ministry of Ecology went to the Kazanka River to update data on previously identified violations at this water body. It should be recalled that since 2022, the Ministry of Ecology has been implementing a pilot project on the Kazanka River. As part of this scientific work, violations of environmental legislation were identified both on the river itself and in the surrounding area.
During the inspection, the points of restriction of citizens' free access to a public water body were again identified, which is a direct violation of the requirements of the legislation.
According to Article 6 of the Water Code of the Russian Federation, the width of the coastal strip of common use for the Kazanka River is 20 meters. We remind you that every citizen has the right to have access to public water bodies and to use them free of charge for personal and household needs, to use (without the use of motor vehicles) the coastal strip of public water bodies for movement and stay near them, including for recreational fishing and mooring of floating vehicles.
After identifying the owners of the land plots where restrictions on free access have been identified, violators will be issued orders to eliminate violations.
It should be recalled that administrative liability is provided for non-compliance with the conditions for ensuring free access of citizens to a public water body and its coastline in accordance with Article 8.12.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation dated 12/30/2001 No. 195-FZ.
For reference: This work is carried out as part of a comprehensive project to improve the ecological condition of rivers and reservoirs in the Republic of Tatarstan, implemented jointly with the Tatarstan branch of the Russian Geographical Society and in support of the national project "Environmental well-being".
