During the first month of Operation Clean Air, more than a thousand cars were tested for environmental friendliness in Tatarstan

Employees of the Ministry of Ecology, together with the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, continue to inspect cars as part of Operation Clean Air, which takes place in support of the national Environmental Well-being project.

A total of 1104 vehicles were checked:

876 passenger cars

40 trucks

188 buses.

The excess was detected in 8 vehicles (4 cars, 3 buses and 1 truck), which is 0.7% of the total number of vehicles checked.

Employees of the Ministry carry out explanatory work with owners of motor vehicles who have been found to have excess amounts on the inadmissibility of violations of mandatory requirements of environmental legislation in the field of atmospheric air protection and draw up protocols on administrative offenses.

"Such events are important for the well-being of the republic and the health of residents. We plan to regularly carry out such inspections to ensure environmental safety," the inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology note.

Inspections are carried out in 12 districts of the republic. They will continue until September 30th.

The main purpose of the operation is to reduce the negative impact of vehicles on atmospheric air.
