Violations of environmental legislation revealed in Leninogorsk district

As part of the supervisory activities, specialists from the Southeastern Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan conducted a survey of the Leninogorsk district. As a result of the inspection, two large unauthorized landfills of construction and other waste were discovered.

At the first site, the discharge of reinforced concrete products and contaminated soil was recorded. The area of contamination was more than 2,185 square meters, and the volume of waste was about 1,500 cubic meters.
In addition to construction waste, car tire storage was found at the second site. The landfill area here is 2,840 square meters. The volume of waste is about 2,000 cubic meters.

The Ministry of Ecology has sent a warning to the Executive Committee of the Leninogorsk district about the inadmissibility of such violations and the need to take measures to eliminate landfills.
