More than 400 vehicles have already been checked in Tatarstan during Operation Clean Air.
The Clean Air operational and preventive event in support of the national Environmental Well-being project continues in the Republic of Tatarstan. The operation is carried out by the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan together with employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, and from 2024 - with the interregional territorial directorate of Rostransnadzor in the Volga Federal District.
Gasoline, diesel, and gas-powered vehicles are being tested. Since the start of the operation, employees have checked 428 vehicles, including 345 passenger cars, 17 trucks, and 66 buses. At the moment, no excess has been detected based on the results of inspections.
The main purpose of the operation is to reduce the negative impact of vehicles on the state of atmospheric air by monitoring compliance with standards for the content of pollutants in exhaust gas emissions from vehicles.
The Clean Air operational and preventive event has been held annually in the summer since 1983. In 2025, the operation in the republic is being carried out for the 43rd time. It started on June 1 and will last until September 30.
