A huge unauthorized landfill was discovered by inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology in Mendeleevsk

During a survey of the territory of the city of Mendeleevsk, inspectors from the Kama Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan revealed a violation of environmental legislation in the field of waste management. A landfill of construction and household garbage, wood waste was found near the Khimik Garage Association. The total landfill area is 6,793 square meters.

The inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology sent a warning to the Executive Committee of the Mendeleevsky district about the need to eliminate the landfill. Materials on the violation were also sent to the Volga-Kama Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor, since part of the landfill territory is located in the water protection zone of the Toyma River.
