Tatarstan summed up the results of the sanitary and environmental two months: the involvement of citizens is growing, the number of complaints is decreasing.
The traditional sanitary and ecological two-month period, which took place from April 1 to May 31, has ended in the Republic of Tatarstan. As noted by Alexander Shadrikov, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan, speaking at a traditional Saturday meeting in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, over 350,000 residents of the Republic took part in mass cleaning events. More than 8,5 thousand pieces of equipment were involved, about 335 thousand cubic meters of waste were removed, about 350 thousand trees and shrubs were planted.
The main trend this year is a decrease in the number of calls to the environmental reception. Last year, 2,737 requests were received during the same period, compared to 1,601 in 2025. More than 74% of all requests received were promptly reviewed and resolved. Most of the appeals relate to issues related to unauthorized landfills, air and water quality. The emphasis is on preventive work, the dissemination of ecological culture and the involvement of young people in solving environmental problems.
"It is important that we are actively supported by all generations of our residents, and most importantly by children! This is confirmed by the annual School Ecopatrol competition, which has already become a real platform for the development of eco-responsibility. We have received 653 requests with coordinates of unauthorized waste disposal sites. This proves that the guys are included in the environmental agenda. 91% of the appeals have already been resolved," the minister said.
The "People's Control" system remains one of the most popular channels of communication with government agencies. 550 questions have been received through this system since the beginning of the year, 295 of them related to unauthorized landfills.
In total, about 4,000 violations (3,890) have been detected by all supervisory authorities in the republic since April 1, and 2,366 have been eliminated. In terms of unauthorized waste disposal, 1,362 violations were detected.
1,513 warnings have been issued for the violations identified.
About 2 thousand violators (1,985) were brought to administrative responsibility, and fines amounting to 6.5 million rubles were imposed. 49 demands were made, of which 39 were for forcing the elimination of violations, 10 for compensation for damage caused to the environment in the amount of 2.1 million rubles.
The Minister of Ecology recalled that during the sanitary two-month period, the territory of the Republic was surveyed from land, air and water.
Together with GBU "Road Safety", 6 raids were organized, 85 violations were detected.
Two air raids were carried out, 424 violations were recorded. Commission detours along the railway tracks were also carried out jointly with Russian Railways.
All materials for taking action have been sent to the districts.
Special attention is paid to problematic issues such as the quality of atmospheric air, discharges into reservoirs and the elimination of unauthorized landfills. All of them are under special control of the Ministry and municipalities.
Minister of Ecology A. V. Shadrikov thanked the residents of the republic for their caring and active position, stressing that it is thanks to the massive participation of Tatarstan that for the fourth year in a row it has been taking first place in the All-Russian action "Water of Russia" of the national project "Environmental Well-being".
For reference: The main purpose of the two-month period is the sanitary cleaning of the territories of settlements, the identification and elimination of landfills accumulated during the winter period and the restoration of territories to an appropriate ecological and sanitary-epidemiological condition after the snowfall.
