As part of the work on citizens' appeals, specialists from the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan conducted a survey of the territory in the village of ZYAB, near the Bumazhnik garage construction co-operative and the residential building 17A/15.
During the survey, an unknown turbid liquid with a characteristic sewer odor was found in the ravine. At the site of the runoff, specialists from the Ministry's Kama Department took soil samples for laboratory testing.
This territory is located in the water protection zone of the Chelna River. The right holder of the site is the municipal entity of Naberezhnye Chelny. A warning was sent to the Executive Committee of the city about the inadmissibility of violations of mandatory requirements of environmental legislation. However, no measures were taken by the executive committee to eliminate violations.
In this regard, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan sent a statement of claim to the Naberezhnye Chelny City Court demanding that the violations be eliminated.
At the request of the court, a commission on-site survey of the territory was conducted with the participation of representatives of the Komsomolsk district administration, the Executive Committee of Naberezhnye Chelny, the Ministry of Ecology, as well as LLC Chelnyvodokanal and LLC Enterprise of Highways. During the survey, it was decided to use specialized equipment to carry out excavation work and establish the source of the drain.
On May 21, 2025, a drain pipe was discovered at a depth of more than 10 meters.
On May 28, 2025, the pipe was sealed, and the area in the work area was put in order.
The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan will continue to carry out state environmental supervision and respond to incoming appeals from citizens.
