On Volga Day, Kazan residents organized a clean-up day on the banks of the river!

Today, on Volga Day, caring residents of Kazan, with the support of the Ministry of Ecology, cleaned the banks of the Volga River on the territory of the Volzhskaya Gavan residential complex. 

49 people took part in the event. They collected more than 40 bags of garbage, and at the end of the clean-up day they planted trees along the shore. 

"This is a wonderful event! The celebration of Volga Day and the participation of residents in the clean-up day highlights the importance of caring for nature. Now Volga Day is a tradition of the Volga Harbor," says activist and cleaning organizer Guzel Gilyazova.
