More than 300 thousand Tatarstan citizens took part in the Wednesday and Saturday clean-ups

Since April 1, within the framework of the sanitary and ecological two-month period, which takes place in support of the national project "Ecological well-being", municipalities have removed more than 267 thousand cubic meters of solid household waste, about 317 thousand people and 4.5 thousand pieces of equipment have been involved in cleaning the territories. More than 275,000 trees and shrubs have been planted in Tatarstan.

During the two-month period, the Ministry of Ecology and other supervisory authorities identified 3,190 violations of environmental legislation, of which 1,186 were unauthorized waste disposal.

The Ministry, together with GBU "Road Safety", continues work on monitoring the sanitary and ecological condition of roadside lanes. Five field trips were conducted and 74 violations were detected.

Commission detours of the right-of-way lanes of the Gorky and Kuibyshev railways have also been organized. Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Vysokogorsky, Zelenodolsky, Tukayevsky, Nizhnekamsk, Zainsky, Almetyevsky, Leninogorsky, Bugulminsky and Utazinsky districts were surveyed, 116 landfills were found.

During the monitoring of Tatarstan from the air, 424 violations were detected. 19 districts and the city of Naberezhnye Chelny were surveyed.

Information about the revealed violations is also received from residents of the republic. Since April 1, 1,362 applications have been received by the public environmental reception (919 for waste, 127 for water pollution, 123 for air pollution and 193 for other issues). A total of 2,326 applications have been received since the beginning of the year.
