Nizhnekamsk court satisfied the environmentalists' claim against the violator
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan appealed to the Nizhnekamsk City Court with a claim against an individual for causing damage to the environment as a result of waste dumping. A waste dump with an area of 82 sq. m. was discovered on the territory of the Yelabuga district in the Kosteneevsky rural settlement in the Neftekhimik farming co-op.
Earlier, a warning was sent to the individual about the elimination of the identified violations. However, the Ministry has not received any information about the disposal of the landfill.
In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation "On approval of the methodology for calculating the amount of damage caused to soils as an environmental object", the damage caused to soils was calculated, which amounted to 64,183 rubles.
The damage was not reimbursed on a voluntary basis, and the violation was not eliminated within the time period indicated by the warning. By the decision of the Nizhnekamsk City Court of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry's claim for damages and liquidation of the landfill was satisfied. The court will oblige the violator to pay damages in a compulsory manner.
