The state catalog of geographical names has been updated with new water bodies of the Republic of Tatarstan
The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan has included a number of names of water bodies located on the territory of the republic in the State Catalog of Geographical Names. Now the list of objects contains information about the rivers Kasymov, Dobromyshka, Rzhavets, Krutaika, Sainka, Sharmanka and Lake Karasinoe.
In total, the catalog contains information about 848 water bodies, indicating the registration number, type of object, geographical coordinates, and links to other geographical objects in alphabetical order.
The State Catalog of Geographical Names is the federal information system of the Federal Register of Russia, which contains the names of geographical objects on the territory of Russia. The purpose of the creation is to ensure the uniform use of names of geographical objects by authorities, individuals and legal entities, and to preserve names as an integral part of the historical and cultural heritage of the peoples of Russia.
