Two judicial instances supported the position of environmentalists and ordered the violator to pay 890 thousand rubles.
The Almetyevsk City Court and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan ordered an individual to eliminate unauthorized waste storage and pay for damage caused to the soil.
Back in 2024, inspectors from the Southeastern Directorate discovered a landfill on R. Fakhretdin Street during monitoring of Almetyevsk. The total storage area of construction waste was 1,120 sq.m.
According to an extract from the state register, the owner of the land plots is an individual. The inspectors calculated the damage caused to the soil. It amounted to 890 thousand rubles. The damage was not compensated voluntarily, and the violation was not eliminated.
The Ministry filed a lawsuit with the Almetyevsk Court. The court supported the environmentalists' demands and ordered the individual to eliminate the landfill and pay the damage. However, the violator did not agree with the decision and filed an appeal. The case was reviewed by the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan, which also supported the position of the Ministry and dismissed the complaint.
