Environmentalists checked the discharge of wastewater from a pipe on Lake Nizhny Kaban
Inspectors of the Central Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, as part of the consideration of citizens' appeals, established the fact of wastewater discharge into Lake Nizhny Kaban.
Together with the specialists of the Central Department for Environmental Supervision, samples of natural water were taken for laboratory testing. According to the protocol, exceedances of the maximum permissible concentration of pollutants were detected: 1.6 times for ammonium ion, 4.9 times for manganese.
The Ministry sent a request to the Executive Committee of Kazan to establish the balance holder of the pipe. According to the information of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise Vodokanal, engineering networks are not on the balance sheet of this enterprise. Information from the Kazan External Improvement Committee on the presence or absence of urban storm sewer networks at the location of the pipe has not yet been received.
Based on the results of the establishment of the pipe's balance holder, measures will be taken against the culprit.
