Almetyevsk court satisfied the claim of environmentalists
Inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology had previously revealed that part of the land plot located on the shoreline of the Bigashka River body in Almetyevsk was fenced. The fence is located 2 meters from the edge of the coastline, which violates the requirements of art. 6 of the Water Code of the Russian Federation, as access to the water body is restricted.
The owner of the land plot, an individual, did not voluntarily eliminate the violation. The Ministry filed a lawsuit with the Almetyevsk City Court to oblige the violator to remove the fence. The court supported the position of the Ministry and ruled on the obligation to ensure unhindered access (passage) of citizens to the water body and the shoreline of the Bigashka River by dismantling the fence made of metal mesh.
