Welcome to Eco-spring! The traditional republican contest starts in Tatarstan on April 1!
On April 1, the republican contest "Eco-spring" will start in Tatarstan in support of the national project "Ecological well-being". The competition is held during the sanitary and ecological two-month period in the format of an ecological marathon. This year, Eco-spring is dedicated to the Year of Defender of the Fatherland and the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Each week of the competition is dedicated to a specific topic:
1 week of "Help the birds". Participants will be able to take care of nature by creating comfortable houses for birds. They will have to make feeders and birdhouses with their own hands, and then hang them in parks and squares.
Week 2 "We are in favor of a separate fee." The second stage of the eco-marathon is dedicated to waste recycling. Participants need to collect waste paper, conduct workshops on making candles from recyclables, hand over old clothes to collection points, etc.
Week 3 "Give the Earth a garden". This week we suggest planting trees in Victory Parks, Alleys of Fame, courtyards and public spaces.
Week 4 "Your actions". The fourth week is aimed at carrying out cleaning activities. These can be parks, squares, and other public places.
Week 5 "Peace, labor, May". The fifth week is devoted to landscaping areas around houses and courtyards.
Week 6 "Transfiguration". The next stage of the competition is dedicated to the improvement of springs and the surrounding area.
Week 7 of "Animal care". In the seventh week, the participants will help our younger brothers. They can visit shelters, bring food, toys, and spend time with animals in need of care and attention.
Week 8 of "Clean Water". The final week of the marathon will be dedicated to cleaning water bodies and coastal areas. Participants will gather to clean the banks of rivers, lakes and ponds.
Anyone can take part in it. The competition is held in the following categories:
- "Eco-helper" (personal nomination): junior group (under 18 years old) and senior group (18 years old and older);
- "Eco-union" (non-profit organizations, movements, school groups, etc.);
- "Eco-family";
- "Eco-team" (educational organizations): junior group (kindergartens) and senior group (schools);
- "Ecopartners" (mass media): online publications and television media;
- "The best municipality" (the rating is formed based on the results of supervisory activities within the framework of a sanitary and ecological two-month period).

The republican contest "Eco-spring" has been held annually since 2016 as part of the sanitary and ecological two-month period from April 1 to May 31. The aim of the competition is to involve all segments of the population in environmental activities, identify the best initiatives and encourage the most active participants.
