Today, on March 15, as part of the final day of the International Conference "Study and Conservation of the snow Leopard in the world. Joining forces" a cooperation agreement between the Interregional Association "Center for the Study and Conservation of the Snow Leopard "Irbis" and the public voluntary movement "In the footsteps of the snow leopard" was signed.

The agreement is aimed at developing joint research and environmental education work, as well as implementing projects dedicated to the conservation and restoration of the snow leopard population in the Russian Federation, which is part of the national Environmental Well-being project. The first works will begin in the near future, and it is planned to increase the number of expeditions in the wild.

Our colleagues, the movement "In the Footsteps of the Snow Leopard", have proved themselves to be the necessary helpers of our science. The guys have been providing invaluable assistance to the Sailugem National Park staff in expedition work for many years, and we realized that with the support of the Association we can do even more. We will further develop this area, and we will be able to cover not only Altai, but also other regions where snow leopards live," said the director of the Interregional Association "Center for the Study and Conservation of the Snow Leopard "Irbis" Daria Petrova after signing the agreement .

"Going to the mountains is like going to scout. Only with reliable people who can be trusted. You can go to the mountains with the Irbis Association! We will work together to preserve the snow leopard in Russia and in the world," added Igor Pautov, head of the Public Volunteer Movement In the Footsteps of the Snow Leopard.
