Environmentalists have identified an illegal quarry in Naberezhnye Chelny

During the monitoring of Naberezhnye Chelny, inspectors from the Kama Department of the Ministry of Ecology identified an unauthorized quarry in the industrial zone of the city. During the survey of the territory, clay mining was not carried out, there was no equipment, but fresh traces of work were visible on the slopes.

The depth of the unauthorized excavation was 13 m, the area of illegal mining was 6048 sq.m., the volume was 50080 cubic meters.

Licenses for the right to use mineral resources, as well as notifications of the start of work on this territory, have not been registered with the Ministry.

The inspectors calculated the damage caused to the subsoil as a result of illegal use in the amount of 20 million rubles. All materials on the case have been sent to the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Naberezhnye Chelny.
