The court granted the environmentalists' claim for damages in the amount of 2.7 million rubles.
The Zelenodolsk Court of the Republic of Tatarstan supported the position of the Ministry of Ecology on the recovery of damage caused to the environment from the Executive Committee of the Osinovsky rural settlement in the amount of 2.7 million rubles.
Let us recall that in the spring of 2024, the Ministry of Ecology received appeals from residents about the discharge of sewage in the village of Osinovo, Zelenodolsk district. Inspectors from the Central Department went to the site and took samples of water and soil.
According to the results of the studies, exceedances of the maximum permissible concentrations of chlorides, ammonium ion, nitrite nitrogen and petroleum products were detected in the contaminated soil. After the violation, the inspectors calculated the damage caused to the soil. It amounted to 2.7 million rubles and was presented to the Executive Committee of the Osinovsky rural settlement.
In connection with the refusal of voluntary compensation for damage, environmentalists sent a statement of claim to the Zelenodolsk Court, which supported the position of the Ministry.
