The awarding ceremony of the Republican Prize in the field of volunteerism "Good Tatarstan" 2024 took place in Kazan. A total of 373 applications were submitted for the award from 45 municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Special attention was paid at the ceremony to the role of volunteers in the field of environmental protection. Deputy Minister of Ecology Egor Tarnavsky spoke about the importance of environmental volunteering:
"Ecology is what unites us! It is environmental well-being that affects the general well-being of the inhabitants of the republic. Thanks to enthusiasts like you, it is possible to achieve significant results at the federal level. In the current year alone, more than 10 thousand km of coastal coastal strips have been cleared.
Environmental volunteering is actively developed in the republic – more than 10.5 thousand activists of the youth movement "It will be Clean", more than 5.5 thousand participants in the events of the regional movement of the Russian Geographical Society, more than 2.3 thousand participants in the movement of young naturalists of the Republic of Tatarstan."
As a result of the award, the Grand Prix was awarded to an activist of the republican movement "Yardam yanashe! Help is near!" Victor Voropaev. The title of "Volunteer of the Year in the field of ecology" was awarded to Alina Mingazova from Kazan, and "Volunteer of the Year in the field of animal welfare" to Ekaterina Soboleva from Leninogorsk district.
