From September 1, Russia will limit the production of plastic bottles
Soon we will have a little less plastic. From September 1, 2025, a restriction on the production of PET packages comes into force in Russia.
The government decree will prohibit the production of multilayer bottles, unusual colors and PET packages with a polyvinyl chloride label. So far, plastic bottles have been allowed to be produced in only a few colors: transparent, blue, green and brown, as well as white – for dairy products. This measure will help reduce the load on landfills and reduce the negative impact on nature.
The problem with polyethylene terephthalate packaging is that it cannot be reused. When trying to be reused, it releases harmful substances that negatively affect the human body.
If possible, we urge not only to collect garbage, but also to sort it in order to help nature and give plastics a second chance.
