The IX International Gathering of Friends of the Protected Islands has been taking place in Perm since October 13. This is a large-scale event, in which about 300 people joined the full-time participation, united by the idea of helping nature. Another 2,000 participants, including from abroad, are watching the event online.
Within the framework of the Meeting, pedagogical and business conferences were organized, as well as plenary sessions with experts from communities and specially protected natural areas. A collection of the best Russian and international practices from the Roszapovedcenter and the Reserves EcoCenter was presented for the first time at the round table "Best practices in environmental education in protected areas".
The Republic of Tatarstan was represented at the round table by Renata Khaketdinova, an environmental education specialist at the Volga-Kama State Natural Biosphere Reserve. The practice of creating and developing various Clubs of Friends of the protected Islands presented by her was recognized as one of the best and included in the Collection. She also spoke about the achievements of the first Preschool Teachers Club in Russia and shared the results of interaction with the Social Committee of the Institute of Social and Philosophical Sciences and Mass Communications of Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University.
