The award is given to the best implemented projects in the field of environmental protection and environmental safety, the development of new technologies in industry and energy, the introduction of the best available technologies, the formation of environmental culture and the development of environmental education.
The competition is held in one round in 9 nominations:
• "Science for Sustainable Development" - universities, individual researchers, teams of scientists, NGOs, whose projects are aimed at obtaining and implementing advanced "green" technologies;
• "Sustainable Energy and Production" - private and public companies, NGOs, government agencies, etc., whose activities comply with the principles of sustainable development, cyclical economy and "greening";
• "Sustainable Cities" - authors of projects aimed at improving the urban environment and infrastructure;
• "Conservation of ecosystems and biodiversity" - authors of projects aimed at the conservation of individual species and entire ecosystems. It is necessary to provide quantitative results of the project (the number of rescued representatives of the species, protected hectares of area, reclaimed hectares of natural territory, etc.);
• "Education as a path to sustainable development" - individuals, institutions of higher education and culture, public and private companies, public authorities, NGOs, whose educational activities are aimed at an audience of more than 1,000 people. (proof of coverage must be provided);
• "Startup: universities as centers of innovation for industry" - students, researchers, young professionals who develop and implement environmental and energy-efficient technologies in production;
• "Media contribution to sustainable development" - mass media (including online media and blogs) that have implemented their own project in the field of sustainable development (launched an eco-campaign, conducted an educational campaign, etc.);
• "Eco–family - the basis of sustainable development" - families or groups of families who have implemented a socially significant environmental project;
• "Children's and Youth Environmental Award" - children and adolescents aged 10 to 18 years who have implemented their own environmental project. The author of the project can involve an unlimited number of like-minded people of any age in his activities. The submitted environmental project must have a significant material result. Research and abstract papers are not accepted for participation in the competition.
Applications for participation are accepted until November 20, 2024. The results will be announced in the second half of December at the award ceremony for the winners of the Competition.
