In the summer season, the probability of forest fires is especially high. It is important to prevent a disaster and follow simple safety rules. What not to do in the forest:
- Throw burning matches, cigarette butts and leave trash
- Build a fire in dense thickets, near warehouses of wood, peat, near ripe crops
- Leave flammable material in the forest: rags soaked in oil and gasoline, glass containers
- Set fire to reeds and dry tree branches
- Build a fire with flammable liquids or in windy weather
- Leave the campfire unattended or un extinguished after leaving the parking lot
In case you witness a forest fire, try to leave the disaster area immediately or find a lake. Water will help to hide from the fire. You need to go into the lake, cover your head with clothes, immerse your face in water and breathe as little as possible.
At the slightest smoke, immediately call the Ministry of Emergency Situations on 112 or 101 and report a fire.
Take care of yourself and our rich forests!
