The new national project "Environmental Well-being" will include measures to encourage respect for the environment. This was announced at the strategic session by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

"This is primarily a concern for people who need to breathe fresh air, drink clean water, for the health of our children, and for the longevity of older citizens. But a responsible approach to eco-education also includes the active use of technologies to achieve such results, as well as a whole range of measures that encourage people and businesses to contribute to the protection of nature," the Prime Minister stressed. This can be support for energy conservation, participation in waste sorting, volunteer activities for the protection of rare plants, animals and many other initiatives that are now in demand by citizens.

He noted that starting next year, all practices and developments, as well as the first proposed initiatives, will be included in a new national project, which will improve the level and quality of environmental protection with the participation of all stakeholders, subjects of the Russian Federation, environmental organizations.
