The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a regular meeting of the interdepartmental working group on air quality in the northern part of Kazan with the participation of the head of the department Alexander Shadrikov, representatives of the Volga-Kama Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor, the Office of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Executive Committee of Kazan, the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan.
During the meeting, experts noted the need to involve the scientific and expert community in the assessment of air quality in the northern part of Kazan. As a solution, it was proposed to conduct an independent scientific study on the study of odors and their identification in relation to possible sources of pollution in the atmospheric air of the northern part of Kazan with the involvement of scientists from Tatarstan, as well as the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow State University and specialized Russian research laboratories.
The members of the interdepartmental working group supported the proposal to conduct a study of atmospheric air in the northern part of Kazan with the involvement of a wide range of scientists, specialists and experts from major Russian scientific centers. The urgency of the odor problem and the complexity of regulation in this area were noted by the members of the working group. The experts also recommended that specialists from the Kazan National Research Technological University be involved in the study.
