About 50 Mendeleevsk residents supported the "Water of Russia" campaign last weekend. The cleaning event took place on the coastal territory of the Kama River. While the yunarmeytsy, activists of "It will be clean" and caring residents were putting things in order on land, the bottom of the river was cleaned by divers of the Tatarstan branch of the Russian Geographical Society.
In just an hour of work, 15 bags of garbage were collected together. We thank everyone who did not stand aside and supported the environmental campaign!
It should be recalled that the All-Russian campaign to clean up debris from the shores of water bodies "Water of Russia" is part of the federal project "Conservation of unique water bodies" of the national project "Ecology". Over 10 years, the campaign has brought together over 9.5 million participants from 89 regions, who cleaned 10,300 reservoirs and collected 10.9 million bags of garbage. Tatarstan has been the winner of this environmental campaign for the third year in a row.
Cleaning in Mendeleevsk has become part of an interregional campaign. In cleaning up the coastal territory of the Kama River, they united Tatarstan, Bashkiria, Udmurtia, Perm Krai and Samara region.
