A charitable telemarathon in support of fundraising for the victims suffered in Komsomolsk-on-Amur was held in Nizhnekamsk

A charitable telemarathon was live aired on the NTR-TVC channel. The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov, Head of Nizhnekamsk Municipal District, Mayor of Nizhnekamsk Aydar Metchin, as well as representatives of town-forming and budget-generating companies of Nizhnekamsk, famous sportsmen, and public leaders of Nizhnekamsk participated in a two-hour program.

Mayor of Nizhnekamsk urged all citizens of Nizhnekamsk, heads of municipal companies and organizations, representatives of business community to care for the tragedy that happened to the citizens of Komsomolsk-on-Amur. In his turn, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources Artem Sidorov acknowledged that today citizens of the Far East, including Komsomolsk-on-Amur are in need of any help, support of the whole country and all of us, and it is a very good initiative of Nizhnekamsk to provide targeted support. The Minister for Ecology expressed hope that other municipalities of the Republic will support virtuous initiative of the citizens of Nizhnekamsk, who have always been noted for their mercy and empathy.

Tens of calls from the citizens of Nizhnekamsk came through during a two-hour marathon. The audience was interested in the ways to donate things to the sufferers, since it is very important for them now, and how to transfer money. More than 2 million rubles were transferred to the charitable account during only one evening.
