This was announced at a briefing in Kazan by the First Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan – the Chief State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of environmental protection Ilnur Gubaidullin.
During the two-month period, the territory of Tatarstan was surveyed from land, water and air. Inspectors found not only unauthorized landfills, but also other violations. In particular, pollution of water bodies.
"Soil contamination with sewage in the village of Osinovo has become a blatant violation. Improper control over the condition of sewer networks is imposed on the person. The total area of pollution was about 570 square meters," Gubaidullin said.
A warning has been sent to the executive committee of the Zelenodolsk district. Not far from the spill site there is an air purity control station, where numerous exceedances of the maximum permissible concentrations of hydrogen sulfide have been repeatedly recorded. The damage caused to the environment is estimated at 3 million rubles. The Ministry has sent a claim for the elimination of violations
In total, over the period of two months, more than 1.5 thousand violators were brought to administrative responsibility, fines were imposed in the amount of almost 5 million rubles. Over 700 warnings were announced. "We identify the majority of violations related to untimely waste disposal on municipal land plots. A warning is issued to the executive committees for voluntary elimination. In case of non-removal, as usual, we are forced, I emphasize, we are forced to subsequently apply claim-based action measures," Ilnur Gubaidullin said.
The speaker added that illegal filling of ravines with various wastes is increasingly being recorded. Inspectors suggest that in the future, land for development could be formed on the site of such ravines with garbage.
"A natural ravine performs a natural drainage function, pulling excess meltwater or groundwater from nearby areas. Filling them up can lead to flooding," the first deputy minister explained.
In addition, the Ministry has identified more than 1,200 illegally formed land plots near water bodies. The materials have been sent to the prosecutor's office. Work on the identification of such sites continues.
