Even one planted tree can change this world for the better
Young naturalists of the Komorguzinsky school together with inspectors of the Northern Department went on an excursion to the village of Verkhny Kuyuk in the Atninsky district. They met Gabdullazyan Nigmatzyanov, an honored teacher of Tatarstan, who grew his own arboretum. In 1976, he began planting trees near his home, next to a spring. All this time, Gabdullazyan Nigmatzyanov continued to pursue his dream of creating a real arboretum and was able to grow more than six thousand trees!
According to Gabdullazyan Salikhovich, he wanted to make people come to the spring to relax, admire nature, relax from the hustle and cares next to beautiful trees. Thanks to his work, a real forest has now appeared next to the spring. So many different trees are here! These are firs, cedars, birches, linden trees, aspens, red oaks. This local arboretum has now become a favorite place for hundreds of birds. Gabdullazyan Nigmatzyanov took care of them and made birdhouses.
According to the guys, they got a lot of impressions from such an informative tour: "It's so great when one person was able to change everything around. There used to be nothing here except a spring. And now there are so many trees and birds of all kinds. We also want to plant our own tree now," the young naturalists say. That's how, with a small step of one person, a big and wonderful thing begins!
