The limits of hunting resources extraction were discussed today at a meeting in the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan
The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting of the expert commission of the state environmental expertise, where they discussed the limit of hunting resources extraction in Tatarstan for the period from August 1, 2024 to August 1, 2025. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Ecology, the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and BiologyFU and the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Biological Resources. Also, employees of the Executive Committees of the districts of the Republic of Tatarstan joined the meeting via video conference.
Experts got acquainted with the materials presented, discussed a number of issues related to existing methods of accounting for the number and determination of animal migration trails. Information on the results of the review of the project materials will be posted on the Ministry's website (https://eco.tatarstan.ru/rezultati-gosudarstvennoy-ekologicheskoy.htm ) after completion of the state environmental assessment.
Let us recall that the limits and quotas for the extraction of hunting resources (elk, Siberian roe deer, red deer, spotted deer, lynx, badger) are approved annually, which allows the use of hunting resources without harming the reproduction of populations. A distinctive feature of the new project is that for the first time the results of counting the number of spotted deer are included in the project materials.
