Inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology revealed a number of exceedances of MPC at the wastewater discharge site in the village of Kugarchino

In April, the Ministry of Ecology received an appeal from residents about the discharge of wastewater into the Sula River in the village of Kugarchino in the Rybno-Slobodsky district.

Inspectors of the Volga-Kama Department, together with a specialist from the Environmental supervision department, promptly went to the dump site. During the survey of the Sula River, the discharge of untreated wastewater from a pipe belonging to the agro-industrial complex "Russian Marble" was revealed. Specialists took samples of wastewater at the discharge site, below and upstream of the river.

According to the results of the study, exceedances of the MPC standards allowed for fisheries facilities were revealed. So, for ammonium ion by 126 times, sulfate ion by 10 times, phosphate ion by 11.3 times, and chemical oxygen consumption by 30 times.

The agro-industrial complex "Russian Marble" has been issued a warning about the inadmissibility of violating mandatory requirements of environmental legislation and the need to eliminate violations.
