The delegation from Uzbekistan was interested in Tatarstan's experience in the reclamation of the Samosyrov landfill within the framework of the national Ecology project
Within the framework of the International Economic Forum "Russia — the Islamic World: KazanForum", representatives of the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan got acquainted with the experience of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan on the reclamation of accumulated damage facilities. In particular, colleagues were interested in the work performed at the Samosyrovsky landfill and on the silt fields of biological treatment facilities in Kazan. The khokim of Chirchik Muratjon Abdurakhimov visited the landfill in Samosyrovo, where reclamation was completed at the end of 2023 as part of the national Ecology project. The Tatarstan reclamation project is a pilot one, the landfill was eliminated with the introduction of an active degassing system. So, a power plant was installed on the territory of the landfill, which emits electricity. Landfill gas will be beneficial. Colleagues from Uzbekistan are interested in the technology. As Muratjon Abdurakhimov noted, the issue of old landfills is typical for many republics, there is a landfill that significantly exceeds Samosyrovsky in area and is also in dire need of reclamation. The khokim also visited the silt fields of Kazan. Now the cultivation continues here, which started ahead of schedule in 2021. Work is also underway within the framework of the national project and has already been completed by 67%.
