Despite the snow and cold, today the world celebrates the Day of the Sun!

The holiday is not new, it appeared in 1994. 

Interesting facts about the Sun: 

Not all solar radiation reaches us, but only 40%, the remaining 60% goes back into space.

The sun is so big that 109 planets like Earth would fit on its surface, and more than a million such planets inside.

We usually paint the sun with bright yellow paint. But it's actually white. The Earth's atmosphere scatters sunlight, so the rays and the disk itself appear yellow.

We are waiting for the clouds to clear and we can fully enjoy the sunny days.
