The report of the KFU student Alexey Khokhlov on the topic "Environmental involvement of the youth of the Republic of Tatarstan" became the winner of the International Youth Scientific Forum "Lomonosov – 2024"

On April 26, a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the international scientific conference of students, postgraduates and young scientists "Lomonosov-2024" was held in Moscow.

This year, more than 20,000 people from all regions of Russia and more than 40 countries of the world took part in the events of the forum. Reports on 48 scientific areas were presented. There were meetings of 44 sections and 506 subsections, as well as 10 regional and five international conference venues.

Alexey Khokhlov, a 4th-year student at the Institute of Social and Philosophical Sciences and Mass Communications of the K(P)FU presented a report in the section "Social Research and Modernity". His research work on the topic "Environmental involvement of the youth of the Republic of Tatarstan" was based on a sociological study conducted with the support and assistance of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in 2023. The study included a massive online survey, which involved 1,233 respondents aged 16-35 years, dedicated to environmental values, interest in environmental issues, environmental participation and education of young people.

Alexey Khokhlov's report was recognized as the best in the section and at the closing ceremony of the Lomonosov 2024 scientific forum, Rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Viktor Antonovich Sadovnichy presented the Kazan student with a diploma for the best report in the section "Social Research and Modernity".

According to Alexey Khokhlov, the recognition and interest in the topic of environmental involvement of young people once again shows how important the synthesis of science and society is in solving issues of environmental protection and conservation. Let us recall that the results of the sociological research are used by the department in planning activities for the development of environmental culture of young people.

The author of the report expressed gratitude to the staff of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, personally to the head of the department Alexander Shadrikov for the help and support provided during the large-scale sociological research. The Ministry of Ecology, in turn, congratulates Alexey on the high award and wishes him further success in his chosen field.
