The campaign "Water of Russia" starts this week
On April 28, the all-Russian coastal cleaning campaign "Water of Russia" will start, which is being implemented within the framework of the national Ecology project. The first large-scale coastal cleaning will take place in Kabardino-Balkaria. Residents of 112 more rural settlements of the republic are going to clean the banks of 15 rivers.
Tatarstan also participates in the All-Russian campaign "Water of Russia" and has already won three times.
There is a particularly reverent attitude towards this campaign in the republic, every year more and more residents join environmental volunteering.
In 2023 alone, about 323 thousand people took part in coastal cleanup activities in Tatarstan, 9 thousand km of shores were cleaned and 22 thousand cubic meters of garbage were collected.

For reference: To date, "Water of Russia" is the largest volunteer eco-project in the country, which has already united more than 8 million people. In 2023 alone, more than 1.5 million volunteers participated in eco-workshops, which held over 28,000 events in 89 regions of Russia.
